About the property
The Cork Street Apt is a Perfect Decision! for your stay in Dublin City – newly built only ten years ago, we have designed-in the charm and comforts not found in many generic short rental options. The Apartment is spacious, warm, and filled with many home comforts; and quite beautiful to sit with a coffee on the front balcony overlooking fabulous old Oak Trees just across the street, or review the interesting Queen Anne period house with its bell-tower – also there just across the street – we are indeed lucky to overlook this small charming city park.
With two double bedrooms, the Apartment accommodates 4 to 5+ guests in excellent comfort. Each bedroom is prepared with a California King bed or Twin Beds – as guided by you, and there is a single foldaway bed for Bedroom #2 when this is required. A further sofa-bed located in the Sitting Room to sleep 1 adult or 2 young children is a useful extra, the apartment overall accommodating 5 to 6 guests in excellent comfort.
With 2 bathrooms supporting this, Bedroom #1 is en-suite bathroom with its Walk-in Shower Closet, WC & Whb, and the Main Bathroom is beside Bedroom #2 with WC, Whb and a family-size Bathtub with Shower overhead.
The bedrooms are located to the back of the apartment, overlooking a pleasant garden/courtyard and are very peaceful to sleep in, and along a corridor to the front of the apartment is a useful Store Room with extra linens, duvets, & housekeeping items.
To the front of the apartment is a large, bright and very pleasant Sitting / Living Room / Dining Area – overlooking Cork Street and a very nice park & bird sanctuary across the street, with a double-glazed full-length window and door to the small balcony outside. There is a separate & fully fitted galley Kitchen just off the Sitting Room/Dining Room – superbly kitted out with everything you could need for your stay; a polished walnut floor, oak dining table seating 6 to 8 guests, three sofas, plenty of soft cushions, coffee table, an excellent selection of great books & board games, flatscreen TV, broadband Wifi internet & satellite/Cable TV service all completing a wonderful and comfortable haven for gathering together at the end of a long day out and about. The apartment is naturally warm, with robust Storage Heaters throughout so that if the weather is chilly or inclement at the time of your stay, you can turn up the heat whenever needed.
Overall, everything is perfect! – bright, clean and fresh – you have a wonderful command centre at the heart of your time in Dublin City and returning from trips & tours to wider regions. The apartment is on the third floor of a small private complex called ‘the Barley House’ and this is located on the corner junction of Cork Street with Marrowbone Lane. With an elevator/lift almost to our hall door. There is also 1 private parking space available on request.
Located at the junction of Cork Street with Marrowbone Lane, just outside are some great walks or short bus rides: to nearby St Patrick’s Cathedral & Christ Church Meeting Points of town – around the corner from which is Dublin Castle and Dame Street and multiple historic options to investigate – Dublin Castle itself, the beautiful Gardens & public park there, and Chester Beatty Library. A little down the street is Dublin City Hall, and then Central Bank Plaza – busy with people heading into busy the Temple Bar quarter; with Trinity College & the Book of Kells/Long Room just straight ahead. Surrounded on all sides with an abundance of restaurants, cafes, and traditional Irish bars.
You are almost spoiled for choice from the Cork Street Apartment, it is a wonderful haven to return to after a busy day out and about!

To complete everything, we provide you with a generous Basket of fresh Groceries - Kitchen & Refrigerator stocked up with fresh milk, bread, butter, bacon / eggs / sausages, teas & coffee, cereals, pasta, fresh fruits, some nice treats - all part of our welcoming you in Irish-style and no need for you to worry about dashing to supermarkets after Arrival & Check-in!

On all sides from Cork Street, there is an abundance of heritage sites, places of great antiquity, and deeply interesting explorations – literary heroes and many poets still cast their magic over the old streets, with many wonderful or quirky old stories to look into. And always, an eclectic array of excellent restaurants, cafes, traditional Irish pubs with live music, contemporary theatre & entertaining shows for the evening time. With a most interesting selection of museums, galleries, old libraries, and artworks to choose from for morning tasks! Plus many excellent Sporting Events on in the city throughout the year – rugby, Gaelic football, hurling, soccer, show-jumping, boxing, tennis, and golf – there’s often or always something Big happening in one of the stadiums of town, so do remember to book your tickets and – join in the fun!
And not to forget – when in Dublin, there is an absolutely abundance of excellent shopping – on one side of the Liffey are the Jervis Street & Henry Street shipping malls and numerous street-side retail outlets; and same again all along Grafton Street and the myriad surround streets there.
