Beautiful to return to after a day out on Heritage Trips & Tours or a busy day at work, Salthill is just 5-minutes away for a refreshing daily swim in the Atlantic, a fabulous run, a decent cycle or a wonderful walk. Or head into Town – it’s just a 3-min walk to the Crane Bar and the Dominic Street/Quay Street/Spanish Arch Quarters busy with entertainment all year round! There is a large Tesco supermarket just at town end of The Crescent – around the corner from Fr Griffin Avenue and there is Ernie’s delightful Gourmet Shop, 2-mins away at end of Sea Road.

You are just minutes from a heartland of excellent restaurants, traditional Irish pubs & live music, cafes, tea-rooms, charming shops, and an abundance of people out & about taking the fresh air all the time. We are ideally located for easy access to Galway University Campus, University College Hospital, Newcastle & Dangan Business Parks, and Galway’s ring roads for heading to the bigger Shopping Centres/Malls and Ballybrit / Parkmore Medtech hubs of the city.

A little history –

The Coach House was built to ‘service’ our main Townhouse just across the car park. Within the Townhouse, we maintain 3 further delightful short rental options: the Silver Teal, Silver Acres, and Silver Heron Apts respectively. Each of these Apts is named in honour of the original Townhouse built in the mid-1800s called ‘Silver Acre’.  With the wilder seas bringing silver sands up to nearby Sea Road as recently as the early 1920’s, and a delightful small original woodland just across the street historically home to a variety of rare nesting birds: herons, teals, and grouse in the past (would you believe!), each of the Apts faces onto this rare town woodland-scape. It is a privilege to connect that old world with this new world, ie, have the original name used in the 21st century Apts! The rare natural woodland sorrowfully gets smaller by the year, the grouse seems gone, but we’re happy to report in March 2025 we can still hear what we feel sure are the family of herons you might see foraging along the Salthill beach fronts – they are still nesting across the street; you cannot miss their, hemm – evening conversations (screeches); amazing!

Bedroom 3: Two separate full single beds; these together as a California Kingbed on request pls

Main Bathroom, Store Closet and small Gallery complete the upstairs.

Ground Floor: underfloor heating; polished granite / porcelain floors throughout –

Stylish Sitting Room with two deeply comfortable sofas and easy chairs, 40″ TV, fireplace, TV tables, and eclectic small collection of books / boardgames.

Separate stylish Kitchen: Breakfast counter, Dining Table, fully kitted Neff Over/Stove. Full complement of appliances: Neff Dishwasher, Toaster, Kettle, Nespresso Coffee Maker, Cafetiere; Dining delphware, glassware, cutlery, utensils, serving dishes, servers.

Utility Room: directly off Kitchen: Washing Machine, separate Dryer, extra Refrigerator, extra Freezer, Vacuum, etc.

Walk-in Shower Room & Bathroom off Utility Room: Floor shower, WC, WHB.
